TRACES of TRACY

This Poem was Written by Grandpa Jack.....it is about his Sweet Beautiful Daughter who passed away at the Age of 16 of Cancer.

TRACES of TRACY

The Fallen Petals From a Rose
And Who of Us Even Knows
When the Fading of a Blushing Bloom Begins
Dropping Softly to the Ground
Where One by One Each Petal Found
Drying to a Whithered, Paper Thin

A Deeply Hued, Crimson Red
Color Spots a Garden Bed
Complemented in a Rich and Loamy Soil
Contrast a Fainting Fragrance Still Intact
A Fading Flower's Listless Slack
Was In the Eye of The Beholder Worth the Toil

Nurtured by Warm Mother Earth
To Sustain Another Coming Birth
A Beautiful Rose Indelible upon the Mind
Each Petal Falling Like a Tear
To Await, Again, Another Year
And my Saddened Soul Awaits Another Time

Great Poem

CHANGE

A Change of Heart
A Brand New Start
A Change of Mind
A thought Refined
A Change Avowed
A Promise Now
A Change is Claimed
A Patience Gained
A Change to Cope
A time for Hope
A Change of Scene
A perception Gleaned
A Change of Vision
A maturing Wisdom
A Change to Cease
A Soul's Release
A Change for Love
A Forgiveness of
A Change To Feel
A Spirit Healed

Interwoven

INTERWOVEN

Under Tones, Over Tones
Voids in Space and Time
Subtleties and Nuances
Puzzles without Rhyme

Colorless Hues of Gray
A Fog, A Misty Shroud
Thoughts of Past and Present Blur
Caught up in the Clouds

Silent Stares from Deep Set Eyes
The Slightest Touch Remembered
A Gentle Breeze Turns a Leaf
Sensing it's September

Letters Written Long Ago
Now Read with Silent Tears
Words on Paper Understood
In Years Past Never Clear

Strangers Passing on a Street
Another Time Best of Friends
Eyes Meet, Lips Smile
Never to Meet Again

Blazing Sun in Silence Splashes
Into the Depths of Ocean's Womb
Quietly the Dark Descends
Awaiting the Cool, Ballooning Moon

Currents Weaving through the Mind
Searching For the Heart
Two Ships Passing in the Night
So Close Yet Far Apart

Diverse Opinions Freely Given
Differences by Degree
Discerning What the Truth is now
Only Perceptions Guaranteed

Memories Fade Soon Forgotten
Simple Answers Hard to Flex
Reaching For Any Solutions
Thoughts of Life Ever Complex

The Mind Winds, Wanders, Wonders
Through all the Nooks and Crannies
Exploring Creases, Cracks, Crevices
For any Clues - Are there Any

Undertones, Overtones
Voids in Space and Time
Subtleties and Nuances
Puzzles without Rhyme

THE GIFT OF LIFE

THE GIFT OF LIFE

Breaking Waves Roar
As Sea Birds Soar
Thru the Crisp, Salty, Ocean Air
Sand Crabs Bury
Themselves In A Hurry
Submerged in Sand's Satin Glare

Sea Weathered Shells
With Sea Stories to Tell
Exposed, Buried Partially in the Sand
Some Beautiful, Some Broken
Ocean's Leftover Tokens
For a Collector's Necklace Strand

A Seaweed Torn
From where it was Born
In the Depths of the Ocean's Floor
Once Gracefully Majestic
Now it's own Tangled Skeptic
Rolling Helplessly onto the Shore

Yet Life goes On
Ocean's Horizon Beyond
Blues and Greens Shade to Black in the Night
The Tides Come and Go
Rise then Ebbing Flow
Where Creation Breathed its First Life
